The paper, "Peran Interprofessional Education dalam Upaya Promotif dan Preventif Hipertensi pada Lansia di Desa Toyapakeh, Klungkung," addresses a critical public health issue: the early detection and prevention of hypertension among the elderly in underserved communities. The abstract clearly articulates the problem of low awareness and limited access to health education in Desa Toyapakeh, justifying the need for structured interventions. The central strength of this work lies in its innovative application of an Interprofessional Education (IPE) approach, demonstrating a commitment to collaborative, community-based health promotion. This study is timely and highly relevant, providing valuable insights into empowering communities to manage non-communicable diseases effectively. The methodology described is robust and highly appropriate for a community engagement project. Utilizing a participatory strategy involving cross-professional students and health workers, the activities encompassed comprehensive community education, practical training (e.g., digital sphygmomanometer use), and the distribution of educational materials. The abstract effectively highlights the positive outcomes, including a significant increase in hypertension knowledge among the elderly and enhanced blood pressure measurement and community education skills among local health cadres. Crucially, the abstract demonstrates how the IPE framework successfully fostered interprofessional collaboration, which is a key mechanism for effective community empowerment in health interventions. This work exhibits several notable strengths, particularly its focus on empowering both the target population and local cadres, alongside the practical demonstration of IPE's effectiveness in a real-world setting. The successful integration of multidisciplinary expertise to address a specific health challenge offers a replicable model for similar community-based health services, particularly for sustainable non-communicable disease prevention. While the abstract presents strong immediate outcomes, future work could benefit from exploring the long-term sustainability of these knowledge and skill improvements, and potentially quantifying the reduction in hypertension prevalence or complications over time. Overall, this paper makes a significant contribution to the literature on community health and interprofessional collaboration in hypertension prevention.
