This community service report, "Penyuluhan Hukum tentang Pencegahan Tindak Pidana Korupsi di Tingkat Desa," addresses a critically important and timely issue: ensuring transparent and accountable management of Village Funds to prevent corruption. The abstract clearly outlines the pressing need for such interventions in supporting sustainable village development and enhancing community welfare, particularly in the Indonesian context. By targeting village officials and the wider community, the initiative demonstrates a commendable commitment to fostering good governance at the grassroots level, and the reported outcomes suggest a positive initial impact on participants' understanding and awareness. The methodology employed, utilizing a participatory approach through seminars, interactive discussions, and direct legal counseling, is highly appropriate for effective knowledge transfer and community engagement. This multi-faceted approach likely contributed to the reported success in increasing participants' understanding of key regulations, specifically Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages and Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption. A significant strength lies in its explicit focus on building community awareness regarding their strategic role in supervising Village Fund management, thereby empowering citizens as active agents in corruption prevention. This direct, practical application of legal knowledge is a major asset of the program. While the abstract strongly indicates successful knowledge transfer and awareness building, future reporting would benefit from elaborating on the specific mechanisms used to measure the "increase in understanding" – for instance, through pre- and post-activity assessments or detailed qualitative feedback. Furthermore, considering the long-term impact, it would be valuable to discuss strategies for sustaining this enhanced understanding and community vigilance beyond the immediate intervention, perhaps through follow-up programs or the establishment of local monitoring groups. Providing brief illustrative examples of specific challenges discussed or questions raised by participants could also enrich the narrative and demonstrate the depth of engagement. Despite these suggestions for refinement, this initiative represents a vital contribution to promoting integrity and accountability in village governance.
