Pengembangan media pembelajaran interaktif dalam mendukung higher order thinking skills (hots) pada mata pelajaran informatika kelas x di smk negeri 1 kutacane. Pengembangan media pembelajaran interaktif untuk Informatika Kelas X di SMK N 1 Kutacane. Terbukti sangat layak dan efektif meningkatkan Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) siswa.
Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif untuk mendukung keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS) pada mata pelajaran Informatika kelas X di SMK Negeri 1 Kutacane. Latar belakang penelitian berangkat dari minimnya media visual dan digital yang interaktif, kesulitan guru dalam menyajikan materi algoritma dan pemrograman secara menarik, serta kurang optimalnya pemanfaatan teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Reseach and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Instrumen penelitian berupa uji kelayakan oleh ahli, uji akseptabilitias pengguna, serta uji efektivitas dengan desain one group pretetst-posttest yang dianalisis menggunakan N-gain. Hasil validasi ahli media memperoleh skor 4,58 dan ahli materi 4,35 dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”. Uji akseptabilitas menghasilkan skor 4,34 dengan kategori “Sangat Tinggi”. Uji efektivitas menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa dengan N-gain 0,7 kategori “Cukup Efektif”. Dengan demikian, media yang dikembangkan dinilai layak, diterima dengan baik, dan cukup efektif meningkatkan kemampuan HOTS siswa.
This paper presents a timely and relevant study on the development of interactive learning media designed to foster Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in Informatics for 10th-grade students at SMK Negeri 1 Kutacane. The research aptly identifies a critical need, stemming from the scarcity of engaging visual and digital resources, the inherent difficulties teachers face in making complex topics like algorithms and programming accessible, and the suboptimal integration of technology in vocational education settings. By focusing on these challenges, the study addresses a significant gap in pedagogical practices, aiming to enhance student engagement and deepen their analytical and problem-solving abilities within a crucial technical subject. Utilizing a robust Research and Development (R&D) methodology, specifically the ADDIE model, the study systematically moved from analysis and design through development, implementation, and rigorous evaluation. The research employed a comprehensive suite of instruments, including expert validation for media and material quality, user acceptability assessments, and an effectiveness test using a one-group pretest-posttest design analyzed with N-gain scores. The findings demonstrate strong internal validity, with expert evaluators rating the media highly feasible (4.58 for media, 4.35 for material) and users expressing very high acceptability (4.34). Crucially, the effectiveness test revealed a positive impact, with an N-gain score of 0.7, categorized as "quite effective" in improving student understanding and, by extension, their HOTS. Overall, the study successfully delivers a systematically developed and validated interactive learning medium that is well-received and contributes positively to student learning. Its strength lies in its practical application to a specific educational need and its structured R&D approach. However, while the effectiveness is acknowledged, the "quite effective" categorization (N-gain 0.7) suggests potential for further optimization to achieve a higher impact. Additionally, the reliance on a one-group pretest-posttest design, while a valuable initial step, inherently limits the ability to conclusively attribute all observed improvements solely to the media without a control group for comparison. Future research could explore iterative refinements to the media, investigate its long-term impact, or conduct comparative studies to more definitively ascertain its efficacy against traditional teaching methods, thereby strengthening its generalizability and overall contribution to the field.
