This study meticulously examines the influence of human resources and capital on the success of oil palm cultivation among local farmers in Desa Semantun, Sukamara Regency, Central Kalimantan. Adopting a quantitative research approach, the paper utilizes a survey methodology involving 70 oil palm farmers as respondents. The use of multiple linear regression analysis, supported by t-tests, F-tests, correlation, and determination coefficients via SPSS 26.0, provides a robust statistical framework for evaluating the relationships between the variables. This focused geographical context lends significant relevance to the study, addressing a critical agricultural sector within a specific regional setting. The findings presented are clear and impactful. The research successfully demonstrates that both human resources and capital individually exert a positive and significant influence on the success of oil palm cultivation. Crucially, the study also establishes that these two factors simultaneously and significantly contribute to cultivation success. The reported high correlation coefficient of 0.842 indicates a very strong relationship between the independent and dependent variables, while a coefficient of determination of 0.709 highlights that human resources and capital collectively explain a substantial 70.9% of the variability in oil palm cultivation success. These strong statistical results provide compelling evidence for the importance of these inputs. Overall, this paper offers a valuable contribution to the understanding of agricultural development, particularly in the context of smallholder oil palm farming. Its clear methodology and well-articulated findings provide a solid basis for local policy recommendations aimed at enhancing farmer success through investments in human capital and improved access to financial resources. While the abstract presents strong statistical evidence, future research could potentially delve deeper into the specific dimensions of human resources (e.g., education, training, experience) and capital (e.g., access to credit, type of assets) that drive the most significant impact, offering more granular insights for targeted interventions.
