Pengaruh karakteristik kompetensi terhadap kinerja pegawai kantor komunikasi informasi dan pers (kominfopers) kabupaten pasangkayu. Ketahui pengaruh karakteristik kompetensi (motif, watak, konsep diri, pengetahuan, keterampilan) pada kinerja pegawai Kominfopers Pasangkayu. Studi ini menemukan hubungan kuat dan pengaruh 85,3%.
Penelitian ini mengungkapkan pengaruh karakteristik kompetensi terhadap kinerja pegawaiKantor Komunikasi Informasi dan Pers (Kominfopers) Kabupaten Pasangkayu. Metode yang digunakan Penelilti bersifat Deskriptif dengan alat bantukoesioner terhadap 47 responden. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa Multiple ataukoefisien korelasi (R) adalah hubungan antara kelima variabel bebas karakteristikkompetensi yang terdiri atas motif, watak, konsep diri, pengetahuan, keterampilan terhadapkinerja pegawai Kantor Komunikasi Informasi dan Pers (Kominfopers) KabupatenPasangkayu sebesar 0,923 artinya hubungan variabel bebas (independen) terhadap variabelterikat (dependen) adalah sangat kuat. R Square atau koefisien determinasi (R2) adalahmelihat pengaruh antara variabel karakteristik kompetensi yang terdiri atas motif, watak,konsep diri, pengetahuan, keterampilan terhadap kinerja pegawai Kantor KomunikasiInformasi dan Pers (Kominfopers) Kabupaten Pasangkayu sebesar 0,853 atau 85,3% artinyapengaruh variabel bebas (independen) terhadap variabel terikat (dependen) sebesar 85,3%sedangkan sisanya 23,5% adalah pengaruh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitianini.Kata Kunci: Motif, Watak, Konsep Diri, Pengetahuan, Keterampilan dan Kinerja
The paper, "PENGARUH KARAKTERISTIK KOMPETENSI TERHADAP KINERJA PEGAWAI KANTOR KOMUNIKASI INFORMASI DAN PERS (KOMINFOPERS) KABUPATEN PASANGKAYU," addresses a critical area in human resource management: the relationship between employee competency characteristics and their performance. The objective is clearly defined: to ascertain the influence of specific competency attributes (motif, watak, konsep diri, pengetahuan, and keterampilan) on the performance of staff at the Kominfopers office in Pasangkayu Regency. This research is highly relevant for understanding local governmental organizational effectiveness and for informing targeted human resource development strategies within such public sector entities. Methodologically, the study employed a descriptive approach, utilizing a questionnaire administered to 47 respondents. The findings indicate a very strong positive relationship, with a multiple correlation coefficient (R) of 0.923, suggesting that the five chosen competency characteristics are highly associated with employee performance. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R-squared) of 0.853 implies that a substantial 85.3% of the variance in employee performance can be explained by these particular competency variables. This suggests a highly predictive power of the identified competencies within the studied context. While the study provides compelling quantitative evidence for a strong link, some aspects warrant further consideration. The sample size of 47 respondents, although yielding statistically significant results in this instance, might limit the generalizability of the findings beyond the specific office and could benefit from expansion in future research. Additionally, there is a minor numerical discrepancy in the abstract regarding the unexplained variance: if 85.3% is explained, the remaining unexplained portion should be 14.7%, not 23.5%. Future iterations could also benefit from a more detailed exposition of the "descriptive" methodology, perhaps outlining the specific statistical tests applied beyond correlation and determination, and exploring potential causal pathways through more advanced analytical techniques or a longitudinal design. Nevertheless, this paper offers valuable insights for human resource practitioners and policymakers in the public sector of Pasangkayu Regency.
