The submitted title and abstract, "PENERAPAN PANDUAN IDENTIFIKASI DAN PENANGANAN ABK UNTUK ORANGTUA DI LEMBAGA LENTERA FAJAR SIDOARJO," address a highly relevant and pressing issue within public health and special education. The abstract effectively highlights the significant global and national prevalence of intellectual disability and autism, emphasizing the critical gap in holistic and comprehensive care that often impedes the full potential and independence of affected children. The identified problem – the lack of proper, early, and sustained intervention, coupled with the crucial role of parental involvement – underscores the timely nature and societal importance of this community service initiative. The stated aim to empower parents through a specialized guide for identification and handling of children with special needs (ABK) is a commendable approach to bridge this gap. The proposed methodology, centered on community engagement through training at a partner institution involving parents of children with special needs, appears practical and directly aligned with the stated objectives. The focus on providing a "buku panduan" (guidebook) for identification and handling is a concrete output that could significantly benefit caregivers. While the abstract outlines the *what* (training and guide), further details in the full paper regarding the *how* would be valuable. Specifically, clarification on the development process and content validation of the guide, the specific modules or topics covered in the parental training, and the duration/frequency of these sessions would enhance understanding of the intervention's robustness. Overall, this initiative represents a valuable contribution to improving the quality of life and future prospects for children with intellectual disabilities and autism by directly engaging their primary caregivers. The emphasis on empowering parents with practical tools is a strong point. For the complete paper, it would be beneficial to include a more detailed description of the guide's content, specific learning outcomes for the parents, and, crucially, a plan for evaluating the impact and effectiveness of both the training and the guide on parental knowledge, attitudes, and actual care practices. Reporting on any initial outcomes or anecdotal feedback would greatly strengthen the work, demonstrating the tangible benefits of this well-intentioned community service project.
