Abstract

Review

This paper presents a timely and relevant study focusing on the development of a Single Page Application (SPA) for final project guidance systems in higher education. The identified problems, such as insufficient interaction between lecturers and students, and the inherent difficulties in managing guidance schedules and revisions, resonate deeply with common challenges in academic supervision. The proposed solution, an SPA developed using an Agile methodology, directly aims to enhance efficiency and address these critical pain points, offering a promising avenue to streamline the final project supervision process and improve overall academic productivity. The methodological choices of employing a Single Page Application architecture and an Agile development approach are particularly well-suited for the stated objectives. The SPA design inherently promises a more responsive user experience, reduced loading times, and expedited communication, all of which are crucial for dynamic and interactive guidance processes. The Agile methodology supports iterative development tailored to user needs, fostering a user-centric system. A notable feature highlighted is the integration of a QR Code for streamlined presence tracking, designed to improve the accuracy and speed of attendance recording while minimizing errors. The abstract reports positive outcomes from trials, indicating increased guidance effectiveness, reduced communication barriers, and improved recording accuracy, suggesting a significant practical impact. Overall, this research effectively showcases the potential of combining modern web technologies with agile development principles to address real-world academic administrative challenges. The implications for enhancing student-lecturer interaction and administrative efficiency in final project guidance are substantial, offering a valuable contribution to educational technology. For future elaborations, it would be beneficial to detail the specific SPA framework and technologies utilized, provide a more comprehensive description of the "uji coba" methodology and its scope, and potentially include insights into user acceptance or a comparative analysis with existing systems to further strengthen the empirical claims and demonstrate broader applicability.
