Effective learning is a learning process that is active and enjoyable for students to achieve the expected learning objectives. The learning conditions at the assisted partner institutions are still not implemented effectively due to teacher-centered learning, so it is necessary to provide mentoring as a form of Community Service activities that aim to provide mentoring to teachers at Madrasah Diniyah Al-Mukhlisin Ketawang, Gondang, Nganjuk in implementing effective learning through the student-centered learning model. The results of the community service activities showed that the motivation of the assisted subjects was very good in participating in the mentoring activities with a percentage of 100% or all teachers had high motivation in this mentoring activity. Furthermore, the understanding of the mentored material was 10 teachers or 83.33% who understood the mentoring material. The ability of the assisted subjects to practice the student-centered learning model in the learning process was 66.67% or as many as 8 assisted subjects who were able to practice learning with the student centered learning model. The results of this analysis indicate that this community service activity was successful and warrants follow-up with effective implementation of student-centered learning, ensuring students actively participate in the learning process and achieving the desired learning objectives.
This paper, titled "Pendampingan Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran Efektif Melalui Model Student Centered Learnig di Madrasah Diniyah Al-Mukhlisin Ketawang, Gondang, Nganjuk," addresses a highly pertinent issue in educational practice: the transition from teacher-centered to student-centered learning (SCL) to enhance learning effectiveness. The authors present a community service initiative focused on mentoring teachers at Madrasah Diniyah Al-Mukhlisin to implement effective learning strategies through the SCL model. The objective of fostering active and enjoyable learning experiences for students aligns well with contemporary pedagogical approaches and contributes meaningfully to improving educational quality. A significant strength of this work lies in its direct response to an identified practical problem – the prevalence of ineffective, teacher-centered learning in the target institution. The abstract clearly outlines the methodology as a mentoring program and presents quantifiable results regarding its immediate impact on teachers. The reported high motivation (100%) among participating teachers is particularly encouraging, indicating a strong receptiveness to professional development. Furthermore, the demonstrated understanding of the mentored material (83.33%) and the subsequent ability to practice SCL (66.67%) suggest a successful initial transfer of knowledge and skills. These findings strongly support the authors' conclusion that the community service activity achieved its immediate objectives. While the abstract provides a strong indication of the intervention's success at the teacher level, a full journal paper would benefit from further elaboration on certain aspects for a comprehensive understanding. For instance, future work or a more detailed presentation could explore the specific pedagogical strategies taught within the SCL model and, crucially, present qualitative or quantitative data on the actual impact on student engagement, participation, and learning outcomes following the teachers' implementation. Expanding on the long-term sustainability of these practices and potential challenges encountered during implementation would also enrich the contribution. Nevertheless, this abstract presents a valuable and well-executed community service project that effectively addresses a key educational challenge and lays a strong foundation for continued pedagogical improvement in the Madrasah.
