This paper, titled "PEMBERDAYAAN PELAKU INDUSTRI KREATIF DALAM PENGUATAN BAHASA TORAJA," outlines a crucial initiative aimed at integrating cultural preservation with economic development within the creative industries of Rantepao, North Toraja. The abstract effectively sets the scene, highlighting the region's potential as a tourist destination and the role of creative industries, particularly craft and souvenir production, in its economy. A key challenge identified is the limited and monotonous use of the Toraja language in these products, often restricted to single words like "Toraja." This limitation, attributed to a lack of knowledge and skills among creative industry actors, not only hinders unique cultural promotion but also potentially limits market competitiveness. The paper thus positions itself at the intersection of local economic empowerment and cultural revitalization. To address this issue, the abstract details a community service (PKM) program initiated by lecturers and students from the FKIP's Language and Arts department. This intervention, structured as "Penyuluhan" (counseling or extension services), targets creative industry actors in Rantepao. The core objective of this empowerment program is to foster social change by introducing creative and innovative ways to incorporate the Toraja language into their products. This approach is commendable as it seeks to move beyond basic branding to a more nuanced and engaging cultural representation, which is essential for capturing the interest of both domestic and international tourists and strengthening the unique identity of Toraja products. While the abstract serves as an excellent proposal for a community-based intervention, it primarily describes the rationale and planned activities of the PKM rather than presenting empirical findings from a completed study. Its strength lies in identifying a pertinent local problem—the underutilization of cultural assets in economic ventures—and proposing a practical, collaborative solution. Future work would greatly benefit from reporting on the implementation process, the specific content of the "penyuluhan," participant engagement, and, most importantly, the measurable outcomes and impact of this empowerment program on both the creative industries' output and the broader strengthening of the Toraja language and culture. This initiative holds significant promise for replication in other regions facing similar challenges of balancing economic growth with cultural sustainability.
