Abstract

Este artigo apresenta uma proposição para a noção de paisagem, baseada na relação entre corporeidades negras e produção de espaços a partir da observação de sons em comunidades africanas e de sua diáspora. O conceito central é a “paisagem sonora afrodiaspórica”, ou “paisagem afrossonora”, que busca compreender como o elemento sonoro influencia na formação de lugares-territórios por meio da construção de identidades e experiências de pessoas negras em interação com o espaço. Isso inclui a observação de sonoridades, como música, ritmos, vozes, ruídos, etc.; experiências de imersão, ou seja, relatos de pessoas que vivenciam esses lugares; e diálogo com especialistas, como geógrafos, filósofos, professores de diversas áreas. O objetivo é desenvolver uma abordagem afroperspectiva para entender a relação entre corpo, espaço e som, considerando sentidos, perspectivas e valores culturais africanos e as experiências das comunidades africanas fora do continente. Essa pesquisa busca contribuir para uma compreensão mais profunda da relação entre as pessoas negras e os espaços que habitam, destacando a importância dos elementos sonoros na construção da identidade e da cultura que caracterizam os lugares-territórios.

A clearer articulation of the methodology for synthesizing the diverse elements—sonic observations, immersive experiences, and expert dialogues—would be crucial, detailing how subjective experiences will be balanced with more analytical approaches. Furthermore, the paper could strengthen its theoretical contribution by engaging more explicitly with existing scholarship in sound studies, critical geography, and Black studies, positioning its "afroperspective" in critical dialogue with these established fields. Finally, addressing potential challenges in defining and delimiting the "Afrosonic landscape" to avoid essentializing or overgeneralizing "Black corporealities" or "African sounds" across the vast and diverse diasporic contexts would enhance the paper's rigor and impact.
