Abstract

Il contributo presenta il risultato di un primo studio critico e filologico delle carte di Giosue Carducci relative a una lezione universitaria dedicata a Inf. XXVI (ACC, cart. XXVII, fasc. 19). Dopo la presentazione delle caratteristiche materiali degli autografi, il saggio approfondisce, per specimina, le peculiarità del taglio esegetico adottato da Carducci per guidare gli studenti nella comprensione dei passi più interessanti o controversi del testo dantesco. Affiora così l’immagine di una lezione erudita, preparata con grande dedizione e studio accurato delle fonti. Il lavoro si conclude con la descrizione del metodo esegetico di Carducci e delle fonti da lui utilizzate per trattare la secolare questione del viaggio oceanico di Ulisse.
