Abstract: Jesus' words about the Salt of the world in Matthew 5:13 are a meaningful expression, so to understand them cannot be through literal or literal knowledge. In this article, the author uses a descriptive method, namely with a literature approach by collecting data and analyzing Matthew 5:13. Through the case of how as a salt generation in Christianity and everyday life and in ministry. Based on this research, it is concluded that the meaning of salt not only refers to the inherent identity of followers of Jesus Christ wherever they go and wherever they are. But it's more about how to be a part of and create a salt generation in the Christian life.Abstrak: Perkataan Yesus tentang Garam dunia dalam Injil Matius 5:13 merupakan suatu ungkapan bermakna, sehingga untuk memahaminya tidak boleh melalui pengetahuan secara harafiah atau literal. Dalam artikel ini penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif yaitu dengan pendekatan literatur dengan mengumpulkan data-data dan menganalisis Matius 5:13. Melalui kasus bagaimana sebagai salt generation dalam kekristenan dan kehidupan sehari-hari serta dalam pelayanan. Berdasarkan penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa makna garam bukan saja menunjuk kepada identitas pengikut Yesus Kristus yang melekat kemanapun mereka pergi dan dimanapun mereka berada. Akan tetapi lebih kepada bagaimana menjadi bagian dan mewujudkan salt generation dalam kehidupan kekristenan.
