Introduction

Kajian tingkat kenyamanan ruang terbuka hijau (rth) taman nukila kota ternate. Penelitian ini mengkaji tingkat kenyamanan Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH) Taman Nukila Ternate menggunakan THI. Vegetasi terbuka tidak nyaman, agak terbuka nyaman, dan tertutup sangat nyaman.

Abstract

Ruang Terbuka Hijau merupakan suatu kawasan dimana penggunanya terbuka dan ditumbuhi berbagai jenis vegetasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat kenyamanan Ruang Terbuka Hijau Taman Nukila Kota Ternate. Penelitian ini mengunakan metode observasi langsung dengan melakukan pengamatan pada lokasi tersebut selama 15 hari pengukuran pada tiga ruang yaitu: vegetasi terbuka,vegetasi agak terbuka dan vegetasi tertutup untuk mengukur suhu udara dan kelembapan udara %. Serta perhitungan mengunakan metode Temperatur Humidity Index (THI) untuk mendapatkan nilai kenyamanan. Nilai rata-rata suhu udara pada vegetasi terbuka adalah 33,490C dan nilai kelembapan uara % sebesar 64,56 % sedangkan nilai berdasarkan THI atau indeks kenyamanan pada ruang terbuka tidak termaksud dalam kategori nyaman karna nilai rata-rata THI yang didapatkan di ruang terbuka sangat tingi dengan nilai sebesar 27,06 0C hal ini disebabkan kurangnya vegetasi pohon pada vegetasi terbuka. Nilai rata-rata suhu udara 32,64 0C serta nilai kelembapan udara % sebesar 63,96 % dan nilai THI atau indeks kenyamanan yang didapatkan pada vegetasi agak terbuka dengan nilai sebesar 26,13 0C nilai THI yang didapatkan termaksut kategori nyaman karena pada ruang agak terbuka di tumbuhui oleh beberapa vegetasi. Nilai rata-rata pada suhu 0C yang didapatkan sebesar 31,03 0C dan nilai kelembapan yaitu 70,68 % sedangkan nilai rata-rata THI atau indeks kenyamanan yang diperoleh sebanyak 24,79 0C termaksud kedalam kategori sangat nyaman karena pada lokasi taman nukila di vegetasi tertutup banyak di tumbuhi vegetasi pohon yang rimbun sehinga dapat menyerap panas yang di pantulkan oleh sinar matahari.

The methodology employed, involving direct observation and measurement of air temperature and humidity across distinct vegetated zones over a 15-day period, is a straightforward and appropriate approach for assessing thermal comfort using the Temperature Humidity Index (THI). This direct empirical method provides valuable quantitative data on the microclimatic conditions experienced in different parts of the park. The findings clearly demonstrate a significant correlation between vegetation density and thermal comfort. The research identified three distinct comfort zones: the open vegetation area was deemed "not comfortable" with a high average THI of 27.06°C, attributed to a scarcity of trees. In contrast, the somewhat open vegetation zone achieved a "comfortable" rating (THI of 26.13°C) due to the presence of some vegetation. Most notably, the closed vegetation area, characterized by dense tree cover, was categorized as "very comfortable" with the lowest THI of 24.79°C, underscoring the effectiveness of lush vegetation in mitigating heat by absorbing sunlight. These results provide compelling evidence of the tangible benefits that well-planned and dense green spaces offer in creating more comfortable outdoor environments. Overall, this study provides valuable insights into the microclimatic performance of Taman Nukila, strongly advocating for the inclusion and preservation of dense vegetation in urban green spaces. While the research successfully quantifies physical comfort, its scope could be enhanced by incorporating user perception data to provide a more holistic understanding of comfort. Future studies might also explore seasonal variations in comfort levels or the impact of specific plant species on microclimate regulation. Nevertheless, the clear distinction in comfort levels across the vegetated zones offers practical guidance for urban designers and policymakers in Ternate and other tropical cities aiming to optimize their RTH for public well-being.
