Abstract

Pendahuluan: Pengemasan sediaan farmasi memegang peranan penting dalam menjamin mutu, stabilitas, keamanan, dan efektivitas obat hingga sampai ke tangan konsumen. Seiring berkembangnya teknologi, kemasan tidak lagi hanya berfungsi sebagai pelindung fisik, tetapi juga sebagai bagian dari sistem penghantaran obat yang inovatif dan efisien. Tujuan: Artikel review ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji berbagai bentuk inovasi terkini dalam pengemasan sediaan farmasi serta tantangan yang dihadapi dalam implementasinya, khususnya dalam konteks industri farmasi di Indonesia. Metode: Metode penelusuran literatur dilakukan melalui database ilmiah seperti Google Scholar dan ScienceDirect dengan rentang waktu publikasi antara tahun 2015 hingga 2025. Hasil: Kajian menunjukkan bahwa inovasi seperti kemasan ramah lingkungan, child-resistant packaging, integrasi barcode digital, kemasan pintar dengan sensor, serta otomatisasi proses pengemasan telah terbukti meningkatkan kualitas dan efisiensi produk farmasi. Namun, tantangan seperti keterbatasan investasi riset, tingginya cacat kemasan, kompleksitas regulasi, dan keterbatasan teknologi masih menjadi hambatan utama dalam adopsi inovasi secara luas. Kesimpulan: Dibutuhkan kolaborasi antara industri, regulator, dan akademisi untuk menciptakan solusi strategis yang seimbang antara inovasi dan kepatuhan terhadap regulasi, demi mendukung pengembangan sistem pengemasan obat yang lebih maju, aman, dan berkelanjutan.
