Efektivitas media edukatif video sanggul tradisional siswa smk negeri 06 semarang. Teliti efektivitas media video edukatif sanggul tradisional (gelung malang, pusung tagel, ukel konde) untuk siswa SMK Negeri 06 Semarang. Tingkatkan kreativitas dan hasil belajar.
Lack of creativity is caused by students' lack of knowledge and lack of interest in reading books and looking for references from other sources. A monotonous bun turns out to be an indicator of a student's lack of creativity, and is often the same as several other students. The researcher decided to carry out research on the effectiveness of educational media on traditional bun videos on traditional bun students at SMK Negeri 06 Semarang with the basic competencies of bun gelung malang, bun pusung tagel and bun ukel konde which have the advantage of making interesting video tutorials. The method used in this research is R&D with the ADDIE model which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation stages. This research method uses data collection techniques in the form of a Likert scale questionnaire and is analyzed using quantitative descriptive techniques. This research was implemented at SMK Negeri 06 Semarang with a total population of class XI majoring in beauty engineering with a sample of 60 studentsThe results of this research show (1) Development research using the ADDIE model produces a learning media product in the form of traditional bun video educational media that is suitable for use. (2) Feasibility results from the validity test using Aiken V. In terms of material feasibility, an Aiken score of 0.783 was obtained and media feasibility with an Aiken score of 0.719 in the valid category (3) Effectiveness test results using a sample t-test with significant results and t value = 6.847 > t table (df-2) = 2,048 (4). and the N Gain test results show that the N-Gain in the control class is 22.9% in the low category and the N-Gain in the experimental class is 62.5% in the medium category. So that educational media is effective in improving learning outcomes for beauty system students.
This paper presents a focused and practical research endeavor into the effectiveness of educational video media for traditional bun styles among vocational students. Addressing a pertinent issue of limited student creativity and engagement with traditional learning resources, the study proposes a digital solution to enhance skill acquisition in specific bun techniques (gelung malang, pusung tagel, ukel konde). The research effectively demonstrates that the developed video tutorials serve as a viable and impactful learning tool, contributing positively to student learning outcomes in a specialized vocational context. The clear objective and direct application of the research findings make it a valuable contribution to educational technology and vocational training. The methodological approach adopted, R&D with the ADDIE model, is highly appropriate for developing and validating educational interventions. The systematic progression from analysis to evaluation ensures a robust development process. The study's strengths lie in its quantitative validation, presenting strong evidence for both the feasibility and effectiveness of the video media. The Aiken V scores (0.783 for material and 0.719 for media) confirm the instructional product's validity, while the significant t-test result (t = 6.847 > t table = 2.048) and the substantial N-Gain in the experimental class (62.5% medium category versus 22.9% low in the control class) compellingly support the claim that the video media improves learning outcomes for beauty system students. While the study offers valuable insights, some areas could be further elaborated or explored in future research. The abstract notes a "lack of creativity" and "lack of knowledge" as initial problems; however, a more specific definition or measurement of these baseline deficiencies beyond "monotonous buns" would strengthen the problem statement. Furthermore, while "learning outcomes" are improved, the specific facets of these outcomes—whether it's declarative knowledge, procedural skill, or attitudinal changes like increased interest or confidence—could be more explicitly detailed. Future work might also consider incorporating qualitative data, such as student feedback on engagement, perceived learning gains, or preferences for specific video features, to provide a richer understanding of the user experience and the video's impact. Additionally, exploring the long-term retention of skills or the transferability of this video-based learning model to other vocational skills would be beneficial.
