Abstract

Literasi keuangan merupakan keterampilan penting yang perlu ditanamkan sejak dini agar remaja mampu membuat keputusan keuangan yang bijak. Pengabdian ini bertujuan memberikan edukasi literasi keuangan kepada siswa sekolah menengah pertama dengan fokus pada pengelolaan uang saku, perbedaan kebutuhan dan keinginan, serta pembentukan pola pikir keuangan yang positif. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Saint John’s School Meruya pada 20 Mei 2025 dengan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif Participatory Action Research dan Experiential Learning. Pelaksanaan kegiatan terdiri dari seminar interaktif dan workshop simulasi anggaran. Sebanyak 42 siswa berpartisipasi dan dievaluasi menggunakan instrumen pre-test dan post-test berbasis skala Likert. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pada sebagian besar indikator. Skor kemampuan mengatur uang saku naik 11,49%, kemampuan menahan diri dari diskon naik 20,93%, dan pemahaman membedakan kebutuhan dan keinginan meningkat 4,73%. Sementara itu, kecenderungan berbelanja karena emosi menurun sebesar 9% dan kecenderungan menghabiskan uang lebih banyak dari yang dimiliki turun 5,43%. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa kegiatan edukasi di sekolah mampu meningkatkan literasi keuangan dan mengurangi perilaku konsumtif pada remaja. Temuan ini juga berimplikasi pada pentingnya memperkuat literasi keuangan di sekolah sebagai investasi jangka panjang. Ke depannya, program serupa dapat diperluas, dilaksanakan berkesinambungan, serta melibatkan orang tua untuk memastikan dampak jangka panjang.
