Abstract

Learning media plays an important role in increasing the effectiveness of delivering material in elementary schools according to the independent curriculum. The aim of this research is to discuss the use of Augmented Reality technology as a learning medium in elementary schools. Augmented Reality enables interactive visualization of material objects, increasing student interest and understanding. The research method used is qualitative with literature study techniques to analyze the use of Augmented Reality as a learning medium in elementary schools. Data from relevant journals was analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods. The research results show that Augmented Reality, which was originally developed for mobile games, has been adapted into an interesting and fun learning tool for students. Augmented Reality is considered a solution to improve the quality of education by utilizing digital technology. The increase in learning outcomes and students' ability to build knowledge based on learning experiences is proof of the effectiveness of using Augmented Reality media in learning in elementary schools. Thus, the use of Augmented Reality in learning can make a positive contribution to achieving educational goals.

Review

This paper, "Analysis of Augmented Reality Utilization as Learning Media in Primary Schools," addresses a highly pertinent and contemporary issue concerning the integration of digital technology into elementary education. It effectively underscores the crucial role of innovative learning media in enhancing the effectiveness of material delivery, particularly within the context of evolving curricula. The stated aim of discussing the use of Augmented Reality (AR) as a learning medium in primary schools is well-justified, given AR's inherent capacity for interactive visualization, which holds significant promise for increasing student engagement and comprehension among young learners. The research employs a qualitative methodology, specifically relying on literature study techniques and qualitative descriptive analysis of relevant journals. This approach is appropriate for synthesizing existing knowledge and identifying trends from previous studies regarding AR's application in education. The abstract highlights key findings, noting AR's successful adaptation from mobile gaming into an engaging educational tool and its potential as a solution to elevate educational quality. While the claims of increased learning outcomes and students' enhanced ability to construct knowledge are compelling, it is important to clarify that these are findings reported in the synthesized literature rather than empirical results directly generated by this particular study. Overall, the paper makes a valuable contribution by consolidating evidence for the positive impact of Augmented Reality in elementary education. It effectively articulates how AR can foster a more interactive and enjoyable learning experience, thereby aiding in the achievement of educational objectives. To further enrich the discussion and provide a more comprehensive perspective, future research could delve into the practical challenges and facilitators of AR implementation in diverse primary school environments, including aspects like teacher training, infrastructure requirements, and the specific pedagogical strategies most effective with AR across various subjects.
