Analysis and implementation of computer network at pt xyz to improve the efficiency of interdepartmental communication. Optimize interdepartmental communication at PT XYZ. This research designs and implements an efficient computer network, using Cisco Packet Tracer for optimal setup, significantly boosting company productivity.
In the era of modern technology, the development of communication and computer networks plays an important role in supporting the efficiency and productivity of the company. This research was conducted at PT XYZ, which currently faces several obstacles in the available communication network. This research aims to design and analyze a more effective and efficient communication system and computer network to increase company productivity. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with systematic steps in understanding empirical phenomena related to computer networks. The network design process is done through simulation using Cisco Packet Tracer, which allows testing the network topology before real implementation, thus reducing costs and risk of damage. The results show that the designed network design can overcome the existing communication constraints at PT XYZ. The simulation ensures that the network device configuration is running optimally, characterized by successful ping results and satisfactory connectivity testing. The use of Cisco Packet Tracer in this research helps in visualizing the network topology, simplifying analysis, and ensuring configuration according to company needs.
This paper addresses a highly relevant topic in contemporary business, focusing on enhancing interdepartmental communication efficiency through computer network optimization at PT XYZ. The objective—to design and analyze a more effective communication system—is clearly articulated and grounded in practical needs, given the acknowledged obstacles in the company's existing network infrastructure. A notable strength is the systematic approach to network design, particularly the use of Cisco Packet Tracer for simulation. This pre-implementation testing phase is crucial for reducing costs and risks, demonstrating a pragmatic and responsible engineering methodology that many organizations could benefit from. The promise of overcoming existing constraints and ensuring optimal device configuration through successful connectivity testing lays a solid foundation for the proposed solution. While the descriptive qualitative research method is stated, the abstract primarily details a technical design and simulation process, which leans more towards an applied engineering study. It would be beneficial for the full paper to elaborate on how the qualitative aspects were specifically integrated, perhaps in understanding the "obstacles" or gathering requirements from departments. The reported findings, such as "successful ping results and satisfactory connectivity testing," confirm network functionality but could be further strengthened by specific performance metrics (e.g., latency, throughput, packet loss) and how these directly translate to improved "interdepartmental communication efficiency." The abstract hints at a significant improvement, and the methodology could benefit from explaining how this efficiency is quantitatively or qualitatively measured and validated beyond just network uptime. Overall, the research presents a valuable case study in applied network engineering with clear practical implications for PT XYZ. For the complete paper, it would be highly recommended to provide more detailed insights into the specific "obstacles" faced by PT XYZ and how the new design precisely addresses each one. Furthermore, while the simulation results are promising, a discussion of the challenges and lessons learned during *actual* implementation (if applicable, or planned future work) would significantly enhance the paper's practical contribution. Future work could also explore the long-term impact on productivity and interdepartmental communication effectiveness through user feedback or specific organizational performance indicators, thereby fully validating the title's central premise.
