This study, "Analisis Pertumbuhan Ekonomi Inklusif di Provinsi Sulawesi Utara," addresses a highly relevant topic concerning the nature and impact of economic growth within a specific Indonesian province. The authors aim to dissect the relationship between inclusive economic growth and critical socio-economic indicators such as poverty, unemployment, and income inequality. Utilizing a dual methodological approach—the Inclusive Growth Index (IGI) and linear regression analysis—the paper offers a comprehensive perspective. The abstract effectively highlights a key finding: while the IGI suggests that North Sulawesi's growth generally promotes inclusiveness by reducing poverty, absorbing labor, and equalizing income, the subsequent regression analysis presents a counterintuitive result, indicating that changes in these socio-economic variables do not significantly influence economic growth during the 2018–2024 period. The paper's strength lies in its application of the Inclusive Growth Index, providing a more holistic measure of growth quality beyond traditional GDP figures. This is particularly valuable for regional studies, offering nuanced insights into how economic expansion translates into social progress at a local level. The positive finding regarding the inclusiveness of growth in North Sulawesi is an important contribution for regional policymakers, suggesting that current growth patterns are indeed contributing to broader development objectives. Furthermore, the use of quantitative regression analysis provides a robust framework for statistically testing the proposed relationships, offering empirical evidence to support or challenge theoretical assumptions about growth drivers and consequences in a developing region. However, the juxtaposition of the IGI results and the regression findings presents a critical area that requires more thorough discussion and interpretation. While growth is deemed inclusive *towards* reducing poverty and unemployment, the regression simultaneously concludes that these very variables do *not* significantly influence economic growth itself. This raises questions about causality and the underlying mechanisms at play. The authors should critically elaborate on why, despite theoretical interconnections, changes in poverty, unemployment, and income inequality do not statistically impact the pace of economic growth within the observed period and model framework. This could involve exploring potential lagged effects, endogeneity, model specification issues, omitted variables, or the specific context of North Sulawesi. A deeper explanation of these non-significant findings, perhaps by comparing with other regional or national studies, would significantly enhance the paper's analytical depth and its contribution to the literature on inclusive growth.
