Abstract

This study aims to identify the internal and external environment, determine the company's position, and determine alternatives and priorities of business development strategy. The research method used in this research is a case study method with a descriptive approach. The data analysis used is the analysis of IFE and EFE matrix, IE matrix, SWOT matrix, and QSPM matrix. The results of research based on the IFE matrix have the greatest strengths, namely strategic business locations and good internal quality control and have weaknesses in the absence of grading, the absence of brand labels on packaging, the lack of human resources and the promotion carried out is not optimal. In the EFE matrix, the biggest opportunity for demand for hydroponic vegetables is to continue to increase, the support of input suppliers for the business being run and good relations between companies and distributors and threats, namely pest or disease attacks and consumer demand for unstable products. Then the IFE and EFE matrices are combined in the IE matrix which shows that Dhieffie Farm Hydroponics is in cell I. In this position the right strategy is a strategy to grow and develop. The preparation of alternative strategies is carried out using the SWOT matrix. Based on the QSPM analysis, there is a strategy with the highest score, namely the SO strategy to maintain product quality with good internal quality control to be able to meet consumer demand

Review

The study, "ANALISIS PENGEMBANGAN USAHA HIDROPONIK PADA DHIEFFI FARM HIDROPONIK KOTA BEKASI," presents a clear and systematically structured analysis of business development for a hydroponic farm. The research objectives are well-defined, focusing on environmental assessment, strategic positioning, and strategy formulation, which are crucial for business growth in this sector. The application of a case study method with a descriptive approach, coupled with a comprehensive suite of analytical tools including IFE, EFE, IE, SWOT, and QSPM matrices, demonstrates a robust methodological framework. This rigorous approach is commendable and lends significant credibility to the findings, offering practical insights tailored to Dhieffie Farm Hydroponics. The abstract effectively summarizes the key internal strengths, such as strategic location and quality control, alongside notable weaknesses like the absence of grading, branding, insufficient human resources, and suboptimal promotion. Externally, the analysis identifies increasing demand and strong supplier/distributor relations as significant opportunities, countered by threats from pests and fluctuating consumer demand. The determination that Dhieffie Farm is in a "grow and develop" position (Cell I of the IE matrix) logically leads to the use of the SWOT matrix for strategy formulation. The subsequent QSPM analysis pinpointing "maintaining product quality with good internal quality control to meet consumer demand" as the highest-priority SO strategy is a solid, actionable recommendation. While the abstract clearly outlines the identified strategy, the full paper would benefit from a more detailed discussion on how the chosen strategy directly addresses or mitigates some of the identified weaknesses (e.g., lack of branding, HR, promotion) or how it sets the stage for future improvements in these areas. Overall, this study offers a valuable contribution to understanding strategic business development within the hydroponic industry, particularly in the context of Bekasi City. The systematic application of established strategic management tools provides a clear roadmap for Dhieffie Farm and could serve as a model for similar small to medium-sized hydroponic enterprises. The findings are well-articulated and the recommended strategy is practical and directly derived from the comprehensive analysis. Given its clear objectives, sound methodology, and actionable results, this paper is a valuable piece of work that significantly enhances our understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the hydroponic business sector, making it a strong candidate for publication.
