Abstract

Batik jumputan merupakan salah satu batik dalam proses pembuatannya menggunakan Teknik jumputan. membuat batik dengan cara jumputan adalah mengikat kencang bagian kain dengan menggunakan benang/karet kemudian di celupkan pada pewarna pakaian, biasanya batik jumputan disebut juga batik ikat celup. Tujuan dari kegiatan pembuatan batik jumputan adalah untuk melatih kreativitas siswa melalui hasil kreasi dari pengikatan dan pewarnaan yang mereka hasilkan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dimana peneliti mendeskripsikan semua yang terjadi dilapangan. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan observasi dan praktek pembuatan batik serta kajian literatur dari buku maupun artikel. Siswa SDN Megonten 2 sangat antusias dalam hal baru sehingga menghasilkan sebuah produk dan pengetahuan baru berupa batik jumputan yang dapat diperoleh dengan menggunakan kain bekas atau kain yang tidak terpakai.
