Al-muhasinat al lafziyyah fi surati asy-syu’ara (dirasah tahliliyah badi’iyyah). Explore verbal embellishments (Al-Muhasinat Al Lafziyyah) in Surat Ash-Shu'ara'. This rhetorical analysis uncovers the Quran's miraculous composition & secrets, aiding Arabic learners.
This research includes two issues: First, it is necessary to know these rhetorical devices, especially for Indonesian students who are learning Arabic. The second issue is that the function of the Arabic language for Muslims in understanding the meanings of the Quran is very necessary for increased faith, and therefore the researcher wanted to take Surat Ash-Shu'ara' as a model to know the verses that include the types of embellishments, and this research focuses on verbal embellishments from the science of rhetoric. Therefore, this study aims to discover the miraculous aspect of the Quran from the point of view of what Allah has endowed it with in terms of beautiful composition and skillful structures, and to uncover its rhetorical secrets through its beautiful words. The research method is using the analytical descriptive approach, which is a method based on an accurate description of phenomena, and depends on describing and explaining what exists. The study proved the presence of verbal embellishments in Surat Ash-Shu'ara', and the research results included 5 cases of alliteration, 5 cases of pauses, 1 case of tasree', 3 cases of taddeed/replacing the second half of the verse to the first half of the verse, and 1 case of tatreez.
This paper, titled "AL-MUHASINAT AL LAFZIYYAH FI SURATI ASY-SYU’ARA (DIRASAH TAHLILIYAH BADI’IYYAH)," presents an analytical study of verbal embellishments within Surat Ash-Shu'ara'. The research is strongly motivated by two pertinent issues: the imperative for Indonesian students of Arabic to grasp these rhetorical devices, and the broader role of the Arabic language in facilitating a deeper understanding of Quranic meanings, thereby enhancing faith. The overarching aim is to uncover the miraculous aspect of the Quran by examining its intricate composition, skillful structures, and rhetorical secrets, with a particular focus on *Muhasinat Lafziyyah* (verbal embellishments) from the science of *Badi'*. This targeted approach to a specific Surah (Ash-Shu'ara') offers a valuable lens through which to explore the Quran's linguistic artistry. Employing an analytical descriptive approach, the study aims to meticulously describe and explain the identified rhetorical phenomena within the chosen Surah. The research successfully confirms the presence of these *Muhasinat Lafziyyah*, reporting specific instances that include 5 cases of alliteration (جناس), 5 cases of pauses (سجع), 1 case of *tasree'* (تصريع), 3 cases of *taddeed* (تعديد), and 1 case of *tatreez* (تطريز). While these numerical findings establish the existence of such devices, the abstract would benefit from a more precise articulation of the analytical criteria used for identifying each rhetorical device. Specifically, the interpretation of *taddeed* as "replacing the second half of the verse to the first half of the verse" suggests a particular definition that warrants further clarification for a broader academic audience. The relatively limited number of identified examples for each category also prompts curiosity about the overall density and prominence of these specific rhetorical devices within the entirety of Surat Ash-Shu'ara'. In conclusion, this research makes a valuable contribution by systematically identifying and categorizing verbal embellishments in Surat Ash-Shu'ara', thereby affirming the Quran's linguistic miracles and serving as an important resource for learners of Arabic. The paper successfully achieves its objective of proving the presence of *Muhasinat Lafziyyah* within the selected Surah. To further enhance its impact, future work could delve into a more in-depth qualitative analysis of each identified instance, exploring the nuanced ways these rhetorical devices contribute to the meaning, emotional resonance, and aesthetic appeal of the verses. Expanding the scope to include a comparative analysis with other Surahs or different sections of the Quran could also offer richer insights into the broader patterns of Quranic rhetorical discourse. Despite the inherent brevity of an abstract, the outlined findings provide a solid foundation for continued scholarly inquiry into the *Badi'* aspects of Quranic studies.
