Trátase, xa que logo, de analizar a música como práctica normativa para tentar comprender mellor o Dereito e a actividade dos xuristas.

Review

The article, "A música e as normas. Unha lección musical para xuristas," proposes an intriguing interdisciplinary exploration into the shared normative dimensions of music and law. By positioning music not merely as an art form but as a social practice governed by its own internal rules, the author aims to illuminate the complexities of legal systems and the role of jurists. This premise offers a fresh perspective on legal philosophy, suggesting that insights from musical structure and practice can provide a valuable heuristic for understanding the foundational principles and operational mechanisms of law. From a philosophical and philosophical-legal standpoint, the abstract outlines an intention to provide a brief epistemological and ontological analysis of music. The core of this investigation lies in examining how music self-regulates its functioning, thereby framing it as a distinct normative practice. This approach suggests a deep dive into the implicit and explicit rules that govern musical composition, performance, and reception, drawing parallels to the creation, interpretation, and enforcement of legal norms. The conceptual framework appears robust, promising to unpack the 'normativity' inherent in musical expression and its potential transferability to legal thought. The ultimate goal of analyzing music as a normative practice—to better comprehend law and the activities of jurists—is ambitious and holds significant promise for enriching both legal theory and interdisciplinary studies. Should the full paper successfully articulate these parallels and demonstrate how musical normativity offers concrete lessons for legal practitioners and scholars, it would constitute a valuable contribution. This article thus presents itself as a thought-provoking piece that could foster a deeper, more nuanced understanding of how diverse social practices, beyond the conventionally legal, establish and maintain order through shared rules and expectations.
