Review

This paper, titled "Sosialisasi Anti-Korupsi Sebagai Upaya Penanaman Nilai-Nilai Integritas Di Desa Barukan, Kecamatan Manisrenggo, Kabupaten Klaten," addresses a highly pertinent and critical issue: the fight against systemic corruption, specifically within the context of village governance. The authors effectively highlight the vulnerability of Desa Barukan, a recipient of substantial village funds and government aid, to corrupt practices due to potential weaknesses in community oversight. The clear objectives of this community engagement program were to elevate residents' knowledge and awareness regarding the dangers and various forms of corruption pertinent to their village environment, thereby fostering proactive community involvement in prevention. The methodology employed was practical and well-suited to the target audience, incorporating interactive lectures, group discussions, and simulations of corruption scenarios directly relevant to the village context. The initiative successfully involved 50 participants drawn from various community segments, indicating a broad reach within the village. Evaluation, conducted through participatory observation, yielded encouraging immediate results, demonstrating a discernible increase in participants' understanding and commitment to anti-corruption principles. This outcome strongly supports the authors' conclusion that a participatory approach to anti-corruption socialization is effective in enhancing community awareness. This study makes a valuable contribution by demonstrating the immediate effectiveness of targeted anti-corruption education within a vulnerable local community. Its primary strength lies in its direct relevance to a significant societal challenge and its use of context-specific, engaging, and participatory educational methods. While the positive initial impact is clear, the abstract implicitly acknowledges the long-term nature of culture change by recommending crucial next steps for sustainability, such as the formation of an anti-corruption community forum and tiered socialization programs. These recommendations underscore that this study serves as an important foundational intervention, providing a strong basis for future, more comprehensive efforts to embed anti-corruption values and mechanisms within the community for lasting impact.
