Muchas de las grandes corporaciones del panorama internacional como SpaceX o Blue Origin se legitiman a partir de discursos que remiten a la innovación basándose en imaginarios vinculados con la ciencia ficción del siglo XX. Desde esta perspectiva, el ensayo Ciencia ficción capitalista, del escritor y licenciado en filosofía Michel Nieva, presenta un análisis de las relaciones entre ciencia ficción, capitalismo y medio ambiente desde una mirada situada en el sur global.
