Abstract

O artigo explora brevemente a literatura em áudio no Brasil, observando a transição do rádio para os formatos contemporâneos como podcasts e podbooks, e sua relação com os audiolivros e como a tecnologia digital transformou o consumo de narrativas sonoras. O podbook é apresentado como uma combinação da estrutura de audiolivros com a informalidade dos podcasts, um terceiro elemento, similar ao defendido por pesquisadores do áudio. A pesquisa indica que a literatura em áudio aproveita a flexibilidade e a interatividade do meio digital e busca discutir sobre a natureza performática e as especificidades da textualidade eletrônica. Para isso, ela perpassa as previsões sobre o fim da literatura, especialmente a imprensa, valendo-se das definições acerca do que é literário, a história do áudio atrelado à arte da palavra, as especificidades da textualidade audiolivresca e das mídias nascidas em áudio.
