This study, titled "Perempuan Pekerja Migran: Analisis Hubungan Faktor Usia, Pendidikan dan Status Perkawinan Terhadap Partisipasi Kerja Migran Hong Kong di Kecamatan Sukun Kota Malang," addresses a highly relevant and critical issue concerning women's labor force participation in the context of international migration. The abstract clearly articulates the paper's objective: to investigate the relationship between age, education level, and marital status with the decision of Indonesian women from Sukun, Malang, to become migrant workers in Hong Kong. The premise that international migration serves as a significant avenue for women to access higher-paying employment is well-established and merits further empirical investigation, particularly within specific regional contexts like Malang, a known origin point for migrant workers. The chosen focus on Hong Kong as a destination further narrows the scope, making the findings potentially valuable for understanding specific migration corridors. The research employs a quantitative correlational approach, utilizing a sample of 88 respondents from Kecamatan Sukun. Data collection relied on a combination of observation, structured interviews, and documentation, which appears appropriate for a quantitative study aiming to establish relationships between variables. The application of inferential statistics, specifically the Spearman correlation test, is a suitable choice for analyzing ordinal or non-normally distributed quantitative data, which is often encountered in social science research involving demographic and socio-economic variables. The findings presented are quite distinct: while education level and marital status show a strong and significant correlation with women's participation as migrant workers, age exhibits a weak and insignificant relationship. Crucially, the abstract highlights economic motive as the primary driver, which, while not a direct variable in the correlational analysis, provides essential contextual understanding for the observed patterns. While the study offers valuable insights into the factors influencing women's migration from Sukun, several aspects warrant consideration. The highly localized nature of the study (Kecamatan Sukun) and the specific destination (Hong Kong) may limit the generalizability of the findings to broader Indonesian or international migration patterns. Furthermore, as a correlational study, it establishes relationships but cannot infer causation. Future research could benefit from incorporating qualitative methods to delve deeper into the *reasons* behind these correlations, particularly how education and marital status interact with economic motives to shape migration decisions. Expanding the sample size, including comparison groups (e.g., women who chose not to migrate, or migrants to other destinations), or even conducting longitudinal studies could provide a richer understanding of the dynamic processes involved. Despite these considerations, the paper provides a solid foundation for understanding critical determinants of women's labor migration and serves as an important contribution to the literature.
