The population in this study was all 71 students at the School of Administration (STIA) Malang class 2019-2022 because there were less than 100 respondents. And the sample that meets the requirements is only 63 respondents. This study used a saturated sample. The results of the f test show that the variables influence Financial Literacy and Fintech Peer to Peer Lending simultaneously and have a significant influence on the variable Decision to Use Shopee Paylater with the result being Fcount > Ftable = 10,435 > 3.15 and a significance value of 0.02 < 0.05, which means the hypothesis of this research accept H1. From the analysis of the Coefficient of Determination (R2) it shows that the R score for this research is 0.705 or it can be explained that the independent variable model contributes to the dependent variable by 70.5% while the remaining 29.5% is explained by other variable models outside this research.
The submitted research, titled "PENGARUH LITERASI KEUANGAN DAN FINTECH PEER TO PEER LENDING TERHADAP KEPUTUSAN PENGGUNAAN SHOPEEPAYLATER," addresses a highly relevant topic regarding consumer financial behavior in the rapidly evolving digital financial landscape. The study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy and engagement with fintech peer-to-peer (P2P) lending on the decision to use ShopeePayLater, a prominent buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) service. This objective is timely, as understanding the drivers behind BNPL adoption is crucial for both policymakers and financial service providers. The abstract clearly outlines the research objective and identifies the key variables under investigation. Methodologically, the study employed a saturated sampling approach, including 63 student respondents from the School of Administration (STIA) Malang (2019-2022 cohorts). The authors utilized an F-test and the Coefficient of Determination (R2) to analyze the data. The reported results indicate a significant simultaneous influence of financial literacy and fintech P2P lending on the decision to use ShopeePayLater (Fcount > Ftable = 10.435 > 3.15, p < 0.05). Furthermore, the R2 value of 0.705 suggests that these independent variables collectively explain a substantial 70.5% of the variance in ShopeePayLater usage decisions within the studied sample, indicating a strong explanatory power of the model. While the study presents interesting findings, a primary limitation lies in its sample size and demographic specificity. The reliance on a small, homogenous sample of 63 students from a single institution significantly constrains the generalizability of the findings to a broader population, particularly outside of a student demographic or different geographical and socioeconomic contexts. Although a saturated sample was used due to the small population, this does not mitigate the inherent challenges in extrapolating the results. Future research would substantially benefit from expanding the sample size, diversifying the respondent base, and potentially incorporating additional mediating or moderating variables to offer a more comprehensive understanding of BNPL adoption drivers. Despite these limitations, the research provides valuable initial insights into this niche area and offers a foundation for subsequent, more extensive investigations.
