Introduction

Pemberdayaan perempuan pesisir dalam mengembangkan mata pencaharian alternatif berbasis potensi lokal di kecamatan suppa kabupaten pinrang. Pelajari model pemberdayaan perempuan pesisir di Pinrang untuk mengembangkan mata pencarian alternatif berbasis potensi lokal. Tingkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat dengan pendekatan partisipatif.

Abstract

Modernitas perkembangan perekonomian wilayah pesisir, memerlukan rekonstruksi dan reformulasi model pemberdayaan perempuan pesisir berbasis potensi lokal dalam upaya meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat pesisir di Kabupaten Pinrang. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kondisi perempuan pesisir di Kecamatan Suppa Kabupaten Pinrang termasuk potensi dan sumber daya lokal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kombinasi yaitu pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Ada 4 (empat) tahapan pokok dalam penelitian ini. Yaitu tahap pendahuluan (exploration study), tahap formulasi model pemberdayaan, tahap implementasi model pemberdayaan, dan tahap implementasi evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan partisipasi dalam pemberdayaan perempuan pesisir bertujuan agar masyarakat tampil sebagai pelaku utama dalam pemecahan masalah dan mampu memenuhi kebutuhannya sendiri. Dalam pendekatan partisipatoris, pemberdayaan merupakan suatu proses untuk memfasilitasi masyarakat agar mengalami proses belajar berdasarkan pengalaman (experience based learning process), sehingga dengan belajar dari pengalaman, kapabilitas mereka sebagai masyarakat dalam memecahkan masalah dan memenuhi kebutuhan dapat meningkat.
