Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan pembelajaran Al-Qur’an melalui dua metode yang populer dan banyak digunakan di Indonesia, yaitu metode Tilawati dan metode Ummi. Fokus penelitian ini adalah pada efektivitas pendekatan masing-masing metode, struktur pembelajaran, serta sistem evaluasi yang diterapkan dalam membentuk kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an yang sesuai dengan kaidah tajwid dan makharijul huruf. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kepustakaan (library research). Data dikumpulkan dari berbagai sumber seperti buku, jurnal ilmiah, laporan, dan literatur lain yang relevan dengan topik pembelajaran Al-Qur’an menggunakan kedua metode tersebut. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif untuk menggambarkan karakteristik, keunggulan, dan kekhasan dari masing-masing metode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode Tilawati memiliki sistem pembelajaran bertingkat melalui enam jilid dan tahapan lanjutan dengan pendekatan klasikal dan individual baca simak, serta evaluasi melalui munaqosyah. Sementara metode Ummi menekankan pada 10 pilar mutu, pendekatan klasikal dan individual, serta evaluasi berjenjang yang sistematis. Keduanya efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an peserta didik secara berkesinambungan. Namun, metode Ummi lebih terstruktur dari sisi manajemen mutu dan pelaporan, sementara metode Tilawati unggul dalam fleksibilitas pendekatan pengajaran. Kedua metode dapat diterapkan secara luas dalam pendidikan Islam di Indonesia dengan adaptasi sesuai kebutuhan lembaga.

This constrains the ability to critically assess the methods' effectiveness in real-world practice, explore practical challenges faced by teachers and students, or conduct an objective comparison of actual learning outcomes across diverse student demographics. Future research would greatly benefit from incorporating empirical approaches, such as case studies, direct classroom observations, interviews with teachers and students, or comparative longitudinal studies. Such additions would transition beyond mere description to offer deeper, evidence-based insights into the practical efficacy, student engagement, and long-term retention fostered by these methods, thereby strengthening the empirical foundation for their continued development and application.
