This abstract presents a highly relevant and timely community engagement (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat - PkM) initiative focused on empowering students in Kendari City. The core idea of utilizing dragon fruit peel, a common agricultural waste product, to create economically valuable healthy chips directly addresses issues of sustainability, resource efficiency, and local economic development. The problem statement—the lack of knowledge, skills, and creativity among SMAN 11 Kota Kendari students in transforming this waste into business opportunities—is clearly articulated, establishing a strong rationale for the intervention. The project's objective to enhance student insight, technical skills, and entrepreneurial spirit is commendable and aligns well with contemporary educational and societal needs. The methodology employed, encompassing penyuluhan (extension), pendampingan (mentoring), and direct practical training, suggests a comprehensive and hands-on approach, which is crucial for skill development. The explicit mention of theoretical underpinnings such as "experiential learning" and "planned behavior theory" is a significant strength, indicating a well-thought-out program design aimed at fostering both practical skills and a lasting entrepreneurial mindset. The results presented are encouraging, highlighting the successful cultivation of an entrepreneurial spirit among students and their ability to process dragon fruit peel into viable business ideas, specifically healthy chips. This not only contributes to the students' personal development but also offers a tangible path towards local economic enhancement through creative economy initiatives. While the abstract effectively conveys the project's purpose and positive outcomes, a full paper would benefit from elaborating on the quantitative measures used to assess the impact on student knowledge, skills, and entrepreneurial intention. Further details on the sustainability of these business ideas beyond the initial training, including market assessment, scalability, and challenges encountered during implementation, would also enrich the findings. Nevertheless, this PkM activity stands out as a valuable contribution to both community development and entrepreneurial education. It provides a practical model for converting agricultural by-products into economic opportunities, thus supporting national education initiatives and promoting sustainable local economies. The work is impactful and deserves dissemination.
