Abstract

Tomando por base a provocação advinda do ‘Projeto Moradia’, elaborado pelo Instituto Cidadania em 2000, que utiliza a expressão ‘moradia digna’, este artigo tem por objetivo problematizar se e como moradias, em sua materialidade, podem ser consideradas dignas. Inicialmente, situa dignidade no contexto da proposta da ONU-HABITAT de que o direito à moradia não se resume a ter um teto sobre a cabeça; é preciso que a habitação seja também adequada. A seguir, busca responder se moradias podem ser consideradas dignas, propondo que, na perspectiva de materialidades relacionais, seguindo pistas da Teoria Ator-Rede, dignidade é resultado da associação entre actantes, humanos e não humanos inseridos em redes heterogêneas. Para avaliar essa proposta, utiliza informações provenientes de grupos de discussão em uma paróquia da zona sul de São Paulo, analisadas por meio de mapas dialógicos. A análise mostra que, nas conversas, prevaleceram as categorias da Organização das Nações Unidas (ONU) sobre adequação das moradias; contudo, no relato de casos, a dignidade passou a ser resultado da associação entre materialidades e socialidades. Nas considerações finais, retomam-se as contribuições do estudo para a Psicologia e possíveis ressonâncias para a avaliação de políticas sobre moradias sociais.
