Free Health Examination (FHE) program is a strategic government initiative aimed at improving community access to promotive and preventive health services. This community service activity was conducted in Timor Tengah Selatan Regency and involved 30 participants from various age groups, ranging from newborns to the elderly. The implementation methods included target identification, cross-sectoral coordination, socialization, direct health examinations at UPT. Puskesmas Siso, and education on the use of the SATUSEHAT Mobile application. Services provided included blood pressure checks, blood glucose measurements, body temperature, pulse, respiration assessments, screening for non-communicable diseases, and special newborn examinations. The results showed active community participation, with 100% of participants completing all examination and education stages. Furthermore, 85% of participants demonstrated increased knowledge regarding the importance of early disease detection and the use of the SATUSEHAT Mobile application. These findings indicate that the FHE program is effective in encouraging healthy lifestyle changes and strengthening collaboration between health facilities and the community in disease prevention efforts. The activity recommends expanding program coverage, training health cadres, and enhancing monitoring to ensure sustainability and maximize the impact of the FHE program in the future.
The paper presents an important community service activity focusing on the optimization of digital-based free health examinations in Timor Tengah Selatan. Addressing a critical need for accessible promotive and preventive health services, the initiative strategically aligns with government goals to improve community well-being. The integration of digital tools, specifically the SATUSEHAT Mobile application, is a timely and forward-thinking approach to modernize health outreach in remote areas. This abstract effectively outlines a clear methodology, from target identification and cross-sectoral coordination to direct examinations and digital literacy education, setting a solid foundation for evaluating its initial impact. The reported outcomes are notably positive, demonstrating significant engagement and immediate benefits. The 100% participation rate across all examination and education stages is commendable, suggesting effective community mobilization and relevance of the services offered. Furthermore, the 85% increase in participants' knowledge regarding early disease detection and the use of the SATUSEHAT application highlights the success of the educational component. These results strongly support the effectiveness of the Free Health Examination (FHE) program in fostering healthy lifestyle changes and strengthening collaborative ties between local health facilities and the community, which are crucial for sustainable public health improvements. The comprehensive services, including NCD screening and newborn examinations, underscore the holistic approach adopted. While the reported outcomes are encouraging and indicative of a successful pilot, the abstract also implicitly highlights areas for further consideration and scaling. The relatively small sample size of 30 participants from a single location (UPT. Puskesmas Siso) somewhat limits the generalizability of these findings across the broader Timor Tengah Selatan Regency or similar regions. Future iterations of this program, or subsequent research, would benefit from a larger, more diverse participant pool and longitudinal data to assess the sustained impact on actual health outcomes and continued digital application usage. The recommendations for expanding program coverage, training health cadres, and enhancing monitoring are pertinent and crucial for ensuring the long-term sustainability and maximized impact of this promising digital-based health intervention.
