Abstract

Poucos textos foram tão discutidos como o Édipo-Rei de Sofocles, que continua sendo objeto de leituras que vão desde as de cunho psicanalítico, mítico, político, ideológico, às que buscam, sem muita concordância, interpretar seu significado e sua forma. De Aristóteles a Freud, de Jung a Deleuze e Guattari, Édipo-Rei serviu de base e veículo para que diferentes épocas projetassem suas visões de mundo e para que a crítica apresentasse concepções variadas sobre a dramaturgia grega, as teorias de gêneros e as possíveis metodologias de abordagem do texto literário.
