The abstract effectively situates its core premise within the widely accepted understanding of Latin American and, more specifically, Argentine literatures as inherently heterogeneous, transculturated, and hybrid. By acknowledging the dual influences of European models and indigenous, popular, and oral traditions, the paper establishes a robust theoretical groundwork. The decision to delve into this complex issue through the lens of a specific literary work, Héctor Tizón's *Sota de bastos, caballo de espadas* (1975), promises a concrete and insightful analysis of a critical theme. The methodology outlined in the abstract focuses on examining how heterogeneity emerges within Tizón's novel by applying the analytical categories proposed by Antonio Cornejo Polar: Discourse, Being, and Representation. This choice of framework is commendable, as Cornejo Polar's work on literary heterogeneity is foundational and highly relevant to the stated objectives. However, the abstract could benefit from a brief justification of *why* Cornejo Polar's specific categories are particularly apt for *Sota de bastos, caballo de espadas*, or how they illuminate aspects of heterogeneity that other frameworks might miss. While Tizón's work, often associated with regionalism and Andean themes, is a suitable candidate for illustrating heterogeneity, a clearer articulation of how the chosen novel embodies the interplay of European and popular influences would strengthen the initial proposition. Overall, this article presents a promising and timely contribution to the scholarship on Latin American and Argentine literatures. Its value lies in moving beyond a general assertion of heterogeneity to a focused case study that applies a rigorous theoretical model. The potential to deepen our understanding of how these diverse cultural currents manifest within a singular literary text, particularly one rooted in a specific region, is significant. To further enhance its impact, the full paper should elaborate on the "regions" aspect mentioned in the title, which receives less emphasis in the abstract, and provide a more detailed rationale for the selection of Cornejo Polar's framework over alternatives. Nevertheless, this work appears poised to offer valuable insights into the intricate dynamics of cultural and literary hybridity in the continent.
