This study addresses a critically important aspect of urban planning: the accessibility of public green open spaces (RTH) for individuals with disabilities, framing it within the context of inclusive landscape design in Malang. The paper clearly articulates the pressing issue of marginalized disabled communities in public space design and the necessity of applying inclusive principles, particularly concerning accessibility and circulation. The objective to evaluate existing accessibility levels in selected RTHs in Malang is well-defined and highly relevant for fostering equitable urban environments. By focusing on popular city parks known for high visitation and social interaction, the research grounds its inquiry in spaces with significant public impact. The methodology employed, encompassing field observation, visual documentation, and a detailed assessment of physical elements against established accessibility criteria (such as pavement condition, path slopes, ramps, handrails, and disability-friendly signage), appears robust for an initial evaluative study. The findings present a clear picture of the current state of accessibility across the chosen sites. It is notable that Hutan Kota Malabar was found to fall short on most accessibility standards, while Taman Merbabu and Taman Slamet, despite having some elements catering to the visually impaired, did not extend full accessibility to all types of disabilities. This differentiated analysis provides valuable insights into the varying levels of inclusive implementation. The research concludes by offering practical and actionable recommendations, including the adoption of anti-slip pavements, the installation of braille signage, and the provision of ramps and handrails compliant with universal design standards. While the study provides a strong foundation by identifying physical deficiencies, future research could benefit from integrating user perspectives and direct feedback from diverse disability groups to further enrich the understanding of "inclusive" experience beyond physical attributes. Nevertheless, this paper makes a significant contribution to the fields of urban planning and landscape architecture by delivering concrete data and specific recommendations, serving as a vital call to action for enhancing the inclusivity of public spaces in Malang and offering valuable lessons for other urban centers.
