Objectives of the Study: The purpose of this study was to determine the description of dietary compliance of patients with Diabetes Mellitus at Trucuk 1 Health Center. Research Methods: This type of research is quantitative research with descriptive correlation research design. The sample used in this study was 93 respondents. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire. Research Results: The results of the study obtained compliance with the number of respondents' diets in the compliant category as many as 65 (69.9%), the type of diet of respondents in the compliant category as many as 81 (87.1%), the respondent's diet schedule in the compliant category as many as 70 (75.3%), most of whom were female, totaling 51 respondents, elementary school education 21 respondents, trader jobs 20 respondents. This paper addresses the highly relevant and critical issue of dietary adherence among individuals with Diabetes Mellitus (DM), a global public health challenge. The study's objective to describe dietary compliance within the specific context of the Trucuk 1 Health Center is clear and provides a valuable baseline for local healthcare planning and interventions. Utilizing a quantitative descriptive approach with a sample of 93 respondents, the research offers a straightforward assessment of adherence to the "3j settings" (schedule, type, and amount) of diet, providing practical insights into current patient behaviors in the community. However, several aspects of the abstract require clarification and refinement. The methodology mentions a "descriptive correlation research design," yet the presented results are purely descriptive, without any correlational analysis between compliance and demographic variables or other potential influencing factors. This inconsistency needs to be addressed; if no correlation was performed, the design should simply be stated as "descriptive." Furthermore, the conclusion largely reiterates the numerical results, missing an opportunity to synthesize findings, discuss their implications, or offer actionable recommendations for the Puskesmas based on the data. While demographic information is provided, its connection to or impact on diet adherence is not explored, leaving a gap in understanding potential determinants of compliance. Despite these points for improvement, the study delivers valuable foundational data for the Trucuk 1 Health Center, pinpointing specific areas of patient compliance (e.g., higher adherence to diet type compared to diet number or schedule). To maximize its impact, a revised conclusion that offers a more analytical summary of the findings and discusses their practical implications for local health initiatives would be beneficial. Future research could build upon this descriptive work by actively investigating the factors influencing these observed compliance levels, perhaps through the correlational analysis initially suggested or through qualitative studies to understand patient perspectives and barriers, thereby providing a more comprehensive basis for developing targeted support systems for DM patients.
