This contribution outlines a compelling archaeological discovery made during renovation works at the San Domenico convent complex. The abstract clearly identifies the core subject: the uncovering of numerous Iberian *azulejos*, predominantly of Valencian production, within the convent cloister. Dating these finds between the mid-fifteenth and eighteenth centuries, the research promises to illuminate various stages of the monastery's construction and development. The involvement of the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage and Architecturals, Landscapes, Historicals, Artistics and Ethnoanthropologicals for Cagliari and Oristano lends significant institutional weight and credibility to the project. The primary strength of this work lies in its documentation of new archaeological evidence. The discovery of a substantial quantity of Iberian *azulejos*, particularly with a specified Valencian origin, is crucial for understanding the material culture, artistic influences, and economic connections of Sardinia during the late medieval and early modern periods. These findings offer valuable insights into the architectural embellishment of significant religious institutions and the broader patterns of trade and cultural exchange across the Mediterranean. The stated relevance to the monastery's completion stages suggests a promising avenue for integrating these material findings with historical building records. While the abstract effectively introduces the discovery and its basic parameters, it leaves several key aspects for a full paper to elaborate upon. To enhance its scholarly impact, future detailed publication should provide extensive methodological descriptions of the excavation and conservation processes, as well as the analytical techniques employed to determine the origin and dating of the *azulejos*. Deeper historical contextualization of Iberian artistic presence in Sardinia, iconographic analysis of the tiles, and comparative studies with other sites in the region or on the Iberian Peninsula would significantly strengthen the research. A more granular discussion of the specific locations within the cloister where these finds were made and their physical condition would also be highly beneficial for readers.
