This study, titled "Hubungan Kecanduan Game Online Dengan Kualitas Tidur Pada Remaja Di SMK Negeri 5 Kabupaten Tangerang," presents a timely and relevant investigation into the relationship between online game addiction and sleep quality among adolescents. Utilizing a quantitative, cross-sectional design, the research effectively addresses a growing concern in public health and adolescent well-being. The authors clearly state their objective, methodology, and key findings, which indicate a statistically significant relationship between severe online game addiction and poor sleep quality in the studied population. The paper's contribution is particularly valuable given the increasing prevalence of online gaming and its potential health implications for young individuals. The methodological approach, employing a correlational analysis with purposive sampling on 127 respondents, appears sound for exploring the stated objective. The use of questionnaires for data collection and chi-square for data analysis is appropriate for the nature of the variables being investigated. The reported p-value of 0.004, being less than 0.05, robustly supports the conclusion that a significant relationship exists. Furthermore, the abstract highlights a concerning finding that a substantial portion of respondents experienced severe online game addiction and poor sleep quality, lending strong credence to the necessity of this research. The practical recommendations offered to adolescents, such as time management, increased outdoor activities, and social engagement, are well-aligned with the study's findings and are commendable for their direct applicability. While the study effectively establishes a correlation, it is important to acknowledge the inherent limitations of a cross-sectional design, which precludes the inference of causality. Future research could benefit from longitudinal studies to track the developmental trajectory of this relationship and to ascertain the directionality of influence. Additionally, exploring mediating or moderating factors that might influence this relationship, such as parental involvement, mental health status, or specific game genres, could provide a more nuanced understanding. Despite these considerations, this paper serves as a vital piece of foundational research, offering crucial insights into adolescent health in the Indonesian context. It provides a solid basis for further investigation and underscores the urgent need for targeted interventions in schools and communities to mitigate the negative impacts of online game addiction on sleep quality.
