Digitalisasi pelayanan gereja melalui pengembangan website berbasis design thinking . Digitalisasi layanan Gereja HKBP Agave Mendalo Darat melalui website Design Thinking.
This paper addresses a highly relevant and timely topic concerning the digital transformation of religious services, specifically focusing on the challenges faced by Gereja HKBP Agave Mendalo Darat in effectively communicating with its congregation. The abstract clearly articulates the problem of inefficient traditional information dissemination, particularly impacting remote students and members unable to attend physically. The study's objective to develop a user-centered, web-based information system with features like live streaming and digital content is well-defined, promising to enhance accessibility and participation. The choice of Design Thinking as the foundational methodology immediately suggests a robust, iterative, and user-focused approach to problem-solving. The methodological rigor is evident through the application of Design Thinking's five distinct phases: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and testing. This structured approach ensures that the developed solution is deeply rooted in the actual needs and experiences of the church community. The proposed system features – live streaming for worship, downloadable digital materials, and online event registration – directly tackle the identified shortcomings. The abstract highlights successful functional testing across all features and reports positive user feedback, particularly from remote students, confirming the system's effectiveness in improving information access and fostering greater congregation participation. This demonstrates a practical and impactful solution to a clearly defined problem. The paper's key contribution lies in providing a successful model for the digital transformation of church services, emphasizing a user-centered design philosophy. By effectively bridging the communication gap and enhancing participation, especially for geographically dispersed members, the research offers valuable insights for other religious institutions facing similar challenges. While the abstract strongly showcases the successful implementation and positive immediate impact, a full paper would benefit from a more detailed discussion on the specific metrics used to evaluate the increase in participation or the long-term sustainability of the system. Nevertheless, this work presents a commendable effort in leveraging technology to adapt religious services to contemporary societal needs, setting a strong precedent for future endeavors in digital religious communities.
