Development of learning media assisted by articulate storyline 3 application on the classification of living things with a scientific approach at junior high school 2 panti. Develop and validate Articulate Storyline 3-based learning media for classifying living things with a scientific approach in junior high school. Proven highly valid and practical for science education.
Research this aiming for develop and describe validity as well as practicality of learning media based on Articulate Storyline 3 in the material classification creature life with approach scientific at Junior High School 2 Panti. Research using the 4D development model to stage distribution limited. Products validated by experts materials, media, language, and practitioners, then tested its practicality through trial scale small (10 students) class VIII) and scale large (32 students) class VII). The validation results show a very high level of validity with average scores from each validator: subject matter experts scored 95.31%, media experts scored 96.25%, language experts scored 100%, and practitioners scored 100%. Furthermore, the practicality test results showed a score of 88.75% in the small-scale test and 91.07% in the large-scale test, which falls into the “very practical” category. With thus, the learning media developed stated to be very valid and practical for used in science learning.
This paper presents a development research focused on creating and evaluating learning media for the classification of living things, utilizing the Articulate Storyline 3 application with a scientific approach for junior high school students. The central aim of the study was to develop a learning medium that is not only valid but also practical for use in science education. This initiative addresses a common need in education for engaging and effective digital learning resources, particularly for complex biological topics, and is specifically tailored for a local context at Junior High School 2 Panti. The research employed a 4D development model, specifically up to the limited distribution stage, to systematically design and assess the learning media. A rigorous validation process was undertaken, involving a panel of experts across various domains: subject matter, media design, language, and educational practitioners. The results from this validation phase were exceptionally positive, with average scores ranging from 95.31% (subject matter experts) to a perfect 100% from both language experts and practitioners, affirming the very high validity of the developed media. Beyond validity, the study also meticulously assessed the practicality of the learning media through a two-phase trial. A small-scale test with 10 students yielded an 88.75% practicality score, followed by a large-scale test involving 32 students which scored 91.07%. Both results categorized the media as "very practical" for educational use. While the study effectively demonstrates the strong validity and practicality of the developed learning media, it would be beneficial for future research to explore its actual impact on student learning outcomes and engagement, beyond just perceived practicality.
