Abstract

Bu araştırma, çocuk çizgi dizileri ve animasyon filmlerinde kapsayıcılığın nasıl temsil edildiğini ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmada Türkiye’de erken çocukluk döneminde yaygın olarak izlenen Niloya, Pepee, Rafadan Tayfa ve Kardeşim Ozi ile uluslararası yapımlardan Moana, Raya and the Last Dragon ve Adit & Sopo Jarwo incelenmiştir. Nitel araştırma yaklaşımı benimsenmiş, betimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılarak elde edilen veriler kapsayıcı eğitim literatürü ışığında değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular, yerli yapımlarda daha çok fiziksel farklılıkların olağanlaştırılması, empati ve sosyal kabulün öne çıktığını; uluslararası örneklerde ise kültürel çeşitlilik, toplumsal iş birliği ve çok kültürlülüğün vurgulandığını göstermektedir. Çalışma, medya içeriklerinin yalnızca bir eğlence aracı değil, aynı zamanda erken çocukluk döneminde çocuklara farklılıklara saygı, empati geliştirme ve toplumsal uyum gibi değerleri kazandırmada önemli bir işlev üstlenebileceğini ortaya koymaktadır. Bu yönüyle araştırma, kapsayıcı eğitim uygulamalarına medya destekli katkılar sunma potansiyeline sahiptir.

Future work could also consider examining the reception of these inclusive messages by young audiences or delving into the production processes behind such content. Nevertheless, this study makes a significant contribution to both media studies and inclusive education literature, effectively demonstrating the pedagogical potential of children's animation. It offers valuable insights for content creators, educators, and parents alike, promoting a more conscious approach to media consumption and production for young children.
