Abstract

Hal ini dikarenakan agribisinis tradisional semakin tidak bersaing akibat semakin berkurangnya lahan tanaman dan meningkatnya harga tanah sebagai akibat dari masuknya banyak industri dan penyedia jasa. Teknik budidaya farming dengan salah satu opsi untuk masyarakat yang memiliki lahan dan kebun yang terbatas adalah hidroponik untuk menjadi sumber pendapatan yang cukup. Hidroponik adalah teknik menanam tanaman dengan menggunakan media selain tanah, seperti Styrofoam, serpihan kayu, serabut kelapa, kerikil, pasir, dan batu apung. Ini karena aliran dan penambahan nutrisi, air, dan oksigen melalui media dapat menggantikan peran tanah sebagai pengantar nutrisi dan media tumbuh akar tanaman.
