Analysis of factors influencing the level of adolescent empowerment on reproductive health at state senior high school 1 kepanjen. Analyze factors influencing adolescent reproductive health empowerment. This study reveals the significant impact of teachers, parents, and peers on high school students' reproductive health knowledge.
ABSTRACK: Adolescence is a phase of life between childhood and adulthood, aged 10-19 years, where the important period for reproductive life, because adolescents begin to experience hormonal, physical, psychological and social changes. Adolescents as the next generation of the nation are vulnerable to deviant reproductive health behavior, which will have impacts such as sexually transmitted diseases, unwanted pregnancies, early marriage, abortion and dropping out of school. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence the level of adolescent empowerment regarding reproductive health. The type of research used is descriptive analytical with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were female adolescents in grade XI at SMA Negeri 1 Kepanjen, the number of samples was 75 respondents taken using the proportional random sampling technique. Data collection methods by filling out questionnaires. Univariate data analysis with frequency distribution and bivariate using the chi square test. 95% confidence interval with a significance limit of p <0.05. The results showed a p value of 0.000 <0.05, meaning that there is a significant relationship between the role of teachers, the role of parents and the role of peers on the level of adolescent empowerment regarding reproductive health. Researchers concluded that the more sources of information that adolescents obtain from various sources and the more frequently adolescents implement reproductive health behaviors, the more adolescents will be able to empower themselves.
The paper, titled "ANALYSIS OF FACTORS INFLUENCING THE LEVEL OF ADOLESCENT EMPOWERMENT ON REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AT STATE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL 1 KEPANJEN," addresses a critical public health issue concerning adolescent reproductive health. Recognizing adolescence as a vulnerable period marked by significant physiological and psychosocial changes, the study aimed to identify factors influencing the level of reproductive health empowerment among female high school students. Utilizing a descriptive analytical, cross-sectional design, the research specifically investigated the roles of teachers, parents, and peers. The key finding indicates a significant statistical relationship between these three social influences and the empowerment levels of adolescents regarding reproductive health. The study tackles a highly relevant topic, as empowering adolescents in reproductive health can mitigate serious risks such as sexually transmitted diseases, unwanted pregnancies, and early marriage. Methodologically, the cross-sectional approach is suitable for exploring associations between variables within a defined population. The use of proportional random sampling for selecting 75 female students from a specific grade level at SMA Negeri 1 Kepanjen suggests a systematic approach to sample selection. Furthermore, the application of the chi-square test for bivariate analysis is appropriate for determining statistical significance between categorical variables, and the clearly reported p-value of 0.000 demonstrates a robust finding regarding the influence of the identified factors. While offering valuable insights, the study's generalizability is inherently limited by its focus on a single school in Kepanjen. The cross-sectional design, while effective for identifying associations, does not allow for the establishment of causal relationships, meaning the abstract's concluding statement that "the more sources of information... the more adolescents will be able to empower themselves" should be interpreted with caution regarding direct causation. Future research would benefit from expanding the geographical scope to multiple schools or regions, and ideally employing longitudinal designs to explore causal pathways. Additionally, qualitative methods could provide deeper understanding into *how* these roles specifically empower adolescents. Despite these limitations, the study successfully highlights critical social determinants of adolescent reproductive health empowerment, providing a foundational understanding for developing targeted interventions and educational programs within similar settings.
