Sosialisasi "FlowFit" memperkenalkan gerakan simpel untuk kesehatan kardiovaskular pada ibu PKK Desa Karangan. Program ini berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran 85% peserta untuk praktik mandiri.
The decrease in physical activity and unhealthy lifestyles cause people in the pre-elderly and elderly age groups to experience various health problems. These problems are experienced by residents of Karangan Village, especially housewives who complain of symptoms of cardiovascular system disorders. This community service program aims to increase awareness and knowledge about the importance of maintaining healthy blood flow through the socialization and education of simple movements called "FlowFit". The socialization was carried out at the Village PKK forum, PKK Dukuh Grubugan RW 8, and PKK Dukuh Nglumbang Kramat and Karang Lor RW 11. The methods applied in the socialization included lectures, demonstrations, and discussions with PKK mothers. The media used were interactive power points, distribution of pamphlets and showing video tutorials so that participants could easily understand the information conveyed by the speakers. Participants in the activity gave a positive impression and were full of enthusiasm. The results of the FlowFit socialization activity were able to increase public awareness to maintain a healthy cardiovascular system through the implementation of simple movements that can be practiced independently. There were 85% of participants who stated that they understood the importance of this movement and planned to implement it in their daily lives. With the socialization of FlowFit, it is hoped that it will be able to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease in residents of Karangan Village.
This community service program addresses a highly relevant and pressing issue: the decline in physical activity and its link to cardiovascular health challenges, particularly among pre-elderly and elderly housewives in rural settings. The initiative to introduce "FlowFit" simple movements for improving cardiovascular health in Karangan Village is commendable. The program’s clear objective—to enhance awareness and knowledge about maintaining healthy blood flow—is well-defined, targeting a specific and vulnerable population through established community forums like PKK gatherings. The approach is practical and directly responds to reported symptoms of cardiovascular disorders within the community. The methodology employed for the "FlowFit" socialization appears robust for a community outreach program. The use of lectures, live demonstrations, and interactive discussions, complemented by diverse media such as power points, pamphlets, and video tutorials, demonstrates a thoughtful approach to engaging participants and ensuring comprehension. The reported positive impressions and enthusiasm from participants, coupled with 85% understanding and intent to implement the movements, suggest strong initial engagement and perceived value. This multi-modal delivery likely contributed significantly to the program's ability to effectively convey information about simple, independently practicable movements, making it accessible for sustained adoption. While the abstract highlights positive immediate outcomes in terms of increased awareness and intent, a key area for future development and reporting would be the objective measurement of behavioral change and, where feasible, physiological impact. The current findings are largely self-reported and focus on understanding and intent, rather than documented adherence or measurable improvements in cardiovascular health indicators. For future iterations or subsequent reports, incorporating pre- and post-intervention assessments of physical activity levels, knowledge retention over time, or even basic health parameters could significantly strengthen the evidence base. Nevertheless, this initiative represents a valuable and well-executed step towards promoting cardiovascular health within the community, laying a solid foundation for future, more comprehensive studies on long-term impact.
