Abstract

Economic development and political stability in Russia, as well as its opportunities to influence international politics, strongly depend on the ambitious energy policy of the state. Russia's energy policy is realized in the complex international framework because Russia is a member of the World Trade Organization and a key participant in energy integration processes. In 2015, it was ranked second in the Global Energy Architecture Performance Index Report published by the World Economic Forum. It renewed its position in the Global Energy Index Report 2017 as the second-best energy market in the world. It also ranked as the country with the highest score in the global ranking of optimal conditions for investment in distributed mustache. Additionally, it has the most favorable investment criteria in the BRICS group. The World Bank published the ranking of "the countries-leaders in the matters of obtaining the new renewable energy," and Russia is leading in this ranking. Energy is vital for the functioning of modern societies and economies, ensuring energy security, climate stabilization, and industrial development, and facilitating the growth of new sectors. The role of energy in the global environment has become increasingly complicated since decision-makers have to concurrently address a growing range of energy-related social, economic, and security concerns. As a rising power, Russia faces some key challenges regarding its energy policies of regulating the energy market and modernizing the energy infrastructure. This research aims to analyze Russia's energy politics in the context of national and global stability in 2024-2025.

Review

This paper tackles a highly pertinent and critical subject: Russia's energy politics and its implications for national and global stability, particularly within the 2024-2025 timeframe. The abstract correctly identifies Russia's historical and ongoing significance in the global energy landscape, highlighting its past high rankings in various energy performance indices and its integral role in international energy integration processes. The stated aim to analyze these complex dynamics in the context of stability is timely and essential, given the intrinsic link between energy, economic development, and foreign policy, and the rapidly evolving geopolitical landscape. However, the abstract presents several areas that require substantial clarification and strengthening. The reliance on data from 2015 and 2017 to frame Russia's current and future energy standing (2024-2025) appears significantly dated and potentially misleading, especially considering the dramatic shifts in global energy markets and geopolitical relations in recent years. A notable concern is the ambiguous phrase "distributed mustache," which strongly suggests a typographical error and needs immediate correction and precise definition to maintain academic rigor. Furthermore, the abstract offers limited insight into the specific methodology or theoretical framework that will guide the analysis, making it difficult to assess how the paper intends to connect Russia's energy policies to "national and global stability." To enhance the paper's rigor and contemporary relevance, the authors should explicitly integrate the profound geopolitical factors that have reshaped Russian energy politics since 2017, such as international sanctions, the diversification efforts by former key importers, and Russia's strategic pivot towards new markets. The abstract would benefit immensely from a clearer outline of the research methodology, the specific types of data to be analyzed, and how the "challenges" identified will be explored within the 2024-2025 context. Updating the contextual data to reflect current rankings and developments, rather than relying on nearly a decade-old information, is crucial for establishing the paper's contemporary validity and ensuring a robust analysis of Russia's evolving and complex role in global energy stability.
