Perancangan prototype kartu kontrol aset tik untuk monitoring inventaris di diskominfo kabupaten nias. Prototype sistem web kartu kontrol aset TIK dirancang untuk Diskominfo Nias. Otomatiskan monitoring inventaris, kurangi waktu pencatatan, dan tingkatkan efisiensi pelaporan aset real-time.
Information and communication technology (ICT) asset management in various government agencies, including the Nias Regency Communication and Informatics Office, is still largely done manually using physical documents and spreadsheets. This manual process has the potential to cause various problems, such as data loss or damage, duplication of records, input errors, and delays in preparing inventory reports. This condition makes it difficult to track asset status accurately and quickly, resulting in decreased work efficiency. This study aims to design and implement a prototype of a web-based ICT Asset Control Card information system that can be a solution for digitizing the inventory process. This system is expected to facilitate the process of recording, tracking, and reporting assets more effectively, efficiently, and in real-time. The development method used is the Waterfall model consisting of the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance planning. The system was developed using the CodeIgniter 3 framework, Bootstrap 5, Controller-Model-View (CMV) architecture, and a MySQL database. The testing process was carried out using the black-box testing method to verify system functionality and user acceptance testing (UAT) involving staff from the Nias Regency Communication and Informatics Office as direct users. The research results showed that the system was capable of automating asset recording, tracking, and reporting in real time. The average asset recording time was reduced from 15 minutes to 5 minutes per entry, and 90% of respondents stated that the system was easy to use. This prototype has the potential to be developed into a more secure, flexible, and mobile-compatible integrated inventory system
This paper, titled "Perancangan Prototype Kartu Kontrol Aset TIK untuk Monitoring Inventaris di Diskominfo Kabupaten Nias," addresses a highly pertinent issue concerning Information and Communication Technology (ICT) asset management within government agencies, specifically highlighting the challenges faced by the Nias Regency Communication and Informatics Office. The abstract effectively outlines the pervasive problem of manual inventory processes, which are prone to critical drawbacks such as data loss, duplication, input errors, and significant delays in reporting. These issues, as articulated by the authors, directly impede efficient asset tracking and overall operational effectiveness. The study's clear objective is to design and implement a web-based prototype for an ICT Asset Control Card system, aiming to provide a digitized solution that promises more effective, efficient, and real-time asset recording, tracking, and reporting. The relevance of this work in enhancing public sector efficiency through technology is undeniable. The methodology employed for this research is the Waterfall model, a structured approach encompassing needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance planning. This systematic development process, while traditional, is generally well-suited for projects with clearly defined requirements like an inventory system prototype. The technical stack chosen, comprising the CodeIgniter 3 framework, Bootstrap 5 for the front-end, the Controller-Model-View (CMV) architecture, and a MySQL database, represents a standard and robust set of tools for web application development. Crucially, the testing phase involved both black-box testing for functionality verification and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with direct involvement from the target users at the Nias Regency Communication and Informatics Office. The reported results are encouraging, demonstrating a significant reduction in asset recording time (from 15 to 5 minutes) and a high user acceptance rate (90% ease of use), affirming the system's practical utility and design effectiveness. Overall, this study presents a valuable and practical prototype that directly addresses a common administrative bottleneck in government institutions. The immediate impact of the developed system, as evidenced by improved efficiency and user satisfaction, highlights its potential for successful implementation and broader adoption. A key strength lies in its user-centric approach to testing, ensuring the solution is genuinely fit for purpose. However, the abstract explicitly labels the output as a "prototype," implying certain limitations in terms of scalability, security, and integration capabilities that would be critical for a full-scale enterprise solution. The authors themselves acknowledge this by suggesting future development into a "more secure, flexible, and mobile-compatible integrated inventory system." While this research successfully demonstrates the feasibility and benefits of digitizing ICT asset management, further work would be essential to transition this promising prototype into a robust, enterprise-grade system capable of handling complex organizational demands beyond the initial scope.
