Abstract

Program Pengembangan Bank Sampah dan Green House di Desa Tambong tahun 2024 oleh Politeknik Negeri Banyuwangi (Poliwangi) merupakan tindak lanjut dari program sebelumnya dengan fokus pada pembangunan pagar Bank Sampah. Pagar lama berukuran 0,5 m × 15 m telah mengalami kerusakan akibat faktor usia, cuaca, dan minimnya perawatan sehingga tidak lagi berfungsi optimal sebagai pelindung area. Melalui kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini, pembangunan pagar baru dilakukan dengan tujuan meningkatkan fungsi dan keamanan Bank Sampah, mendorong pemanfaatan sampah botol plastik, serta mendukung pengembangan Desa Tambong sebagai desa wisata ramah lingkungan. Pagar dibangun menggunakan kombinasi material baja ringan, lisplang, dan pasangan bata sebagai penerapan konsep green building. Metode kegiatan meliputi survey dan identifikasi masalah, pengukuran dan perencanaan desain pagar baru, pengumpulan dan pengolahan material daur ulang, pembangunan pagar, sosialisasi, serta serah terima aset. Masyarakat Desa Tambong terlibat aktif dalam setiap tahap, mulai dari pembersihan lahan, pengukuran, pencacahan plastik, hingga pengisian botol untuk eco-brick. Pelaksanaan kegiatan berlangsung selama dua minggu dengan tambahan satu hari untuk sosialisasi dan penyerahan hasil. Hasil program tidak hanya menghasilkan pagar yang lebih fungsional dan estetis, tetapi juga memperkuat upaya pengembangan Desa Tambong sebagai wisata ramah lingkungan. Program ini menjadi media edukasi pengelolaan sampah sekaligus wujud komitmen Poliwangi sebagai Kampus Hijau yang mendukung pencapaian SDGs 8, 12, dan 13.

While the abstract clearly outlines the success of the fence construction, future publications could benefit from a more detailed long-term assessment of the eco-bricks' durability and maintenance requirements, as well as an elaboration on the "Greenhouse" aspect mentioned in the title, which appears less detailed in this particular abstract.
