Abstract

Penerangan jalan yang memadai sangat penting untuk keselamatan dan kenyamanan pengguna jalan. Jalan Niban Rimin menghadapi masalah signifikan terkait dengan pencahayaan yang tidak memadai, yang berpotensi meningkatkan risiko kecelakaan. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menilai efektivitas pemasangan panel surya dalam meningkatkan kualitas pencahayaan, serta menganalisis dampak sosial dan ekonomi dari penerangan jalan bertenaga surya. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah desain campuran, yang melibatkan pemasangan 10 unit panel surya di lokasi strategis dan pengumpulan data melalui survei, wawancara, dan pengukuran intensitas cahaya. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan intensitas cahaya yang signifikan dari 50 lux menjadi 120 lux setelah pemasangan. Selain itu, 80% responden melaporkan merasa lebih aman dan lebih nyaman setelah perbaikan pencahayaan. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa pemasangan panel surya efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pencahayaan di Jalan Niban Rimin dan merekomendasikan penerapan teknologi serupa di lokasi lain yang menghadapi masalah serupa. Saran untuk penelitian lebih lanjut juga diberikan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi sistem pencahayaan berbasis energi terbarukan.
