Religious moderation refers to an intermediate grounding in one's approach to religious doctrines. This article was written as an introduction to the topic of the importance of moderation of religious behavior in digital media to encourage moderate and tolerant religious discourse. The digital world presents accessible religious narratives that can be used by relevant parties to resolve conflicts and challenge identity politics, characterized by weakening affiliation with religious organizations, the emergence of religious observers, declining individualism, and the transformation of pluralism. into tribalism. This research is qualitative research using an exploratory descriptive approach. Research results from harmonization of moderation in various domains in the digital space show its momentum. As an Islamic research laboratory, Islamic Religious Universities further modify content through digital media as a means of countering the spread of misinformation through social media. This article, "Moderasi Beragama Dalam Ruang Digital: Studi Harmonisasi Moderasi Beragama Di Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Negeri," addresses a highly pertinent and critical issue concerning religious moderation within the evolving digital landscape. The abstract effectively highlights the increasing importance of fostering moderate and tolerant religious discourse online, especially given the challenges posed by accessible, potentially polarizing narratives, identity politics, and shifts in religious affiliation and social structures. The stated aim to explore the harmonization of religious moderation in digital spaces, with a particular focus on Islamic Religious Universities (PTKINs) as key actors, is a timely and valuable contribution to current academic and societal discussions on counteracting digital extremism and promoting inclusivity. The research is described as qualitative with an exploratory descriptive approach, which appears suitable for investigating such a complex and nuanced social phenomenon. The abstract indicates that the study finds "momentum" for the harmonization of moderation across various digital domains. A key finding highlighted is the proactive role of PTKINs, positioning them as "Islamic research laboratories" that "modify content through digital media" to counter misinformation. The primary strategy identified is the use of counter-narratives to cultivate a "moderate and tolerant" disposition, aiming to dissolve divisive emotional rhetoric and foster substantive engagement. While the abstract provides a compelling overview, it also raises several points that the full paper would undoubtedly elaborate upon. For instance, the exact nature of "harmonization of moderation in various domains" and the specific types of content modification employed by PTKINs would benefit from detailed examples and case studies. Similarly, the abstract's assertions of "declining individualism" and "transformation of pluralism into tribalism" as drivers for the need for religious moderation are intriguing and warrant deeper theoretical and empirical exploration within the main text. Nevertheless, this study's focus on institutional efforts, particularly within PTKINs, to actively shape digital religious discourse through counter-narratives represents a significant and practical step towards combating extremism and fostering a more inclusive online environment. The research clearly signals a robust effort to operationalize religious moderation in a crucial contemporary context, making it a valuable addition to the literature.
